The EOD-V1 Laser (EOD = Explosive Ordnance Disposal) is a mobile tool for detecting trigger mechanisms, explosives and for bomb disposal. It enables special task forces and bomb disposal units to safely and efficiently examine and identify unknown and potentially dangerous objects. The EOD-V1 allows the unknown object to be examined from the inside, without triggering any sensor that responds to light. This is achieved by using a wavelength of 520 nm, which the human eye can perceive particularly well, but the analyzing trigger electronic of the sensor can not, thus reducing the risk of triggering light-sensitive sensors up to 10 times less. The EOD-V1 reduces the time between examination and disposal significantly due to the increased light output compared to white light.
